What does hair benefit from no matter the type or texture? The simple answer is MOISTURE.
Whether you have straight, wavy, curly, kinky, coily, or *textured hair, all human hair is essentially the same at the cellular level. Hair comes in many colors and textures and have a need for hydration in order to remain healthy. Without proper hydration, hair can become weak and brittle, which makes it more prone to breakage.
Ways to moisturize your hair include using a conditioner after shampoo, adequately saturating your hair when you style with your favorite products like hair creams and locking in that moisture using oils and/or gels, refreshing dry parts throughout the week before wash day, doing a hot oil treatment with your favorite oil under a shower cap, and doing a deep conditioning treatment preferably with a shower cap on under a hooded dryer on low heat or under a steamer- the latter is my favorite.
Locking in that moisture is especially important for people with *textured hair. It’s important to note that the level of hydration does differ from one head of hair to the other, and hair behaves differently from one person to the next even when two people are from the same family.
